The E³ Elevation Triple IPA from Renegade Brewing Company in Denver, Colorado pours out a cloudy orange in color and is topped with a two finger, frothy, white head that slowly reduces down to a thick film with a nice sized collar. On the nose, this is all about the hops and quite dank. Aromas of pine, resin, garlic, onion, citrus rind and grassy weed. In the mouth, this is a big craft brew with a nice amount of weight, a ton of flavor and sublime bitterness. Flavors of pine, citrus rind, light garlicky onion, grass and a barely detectable caramel sweetness. There is probably a good amount of caramel flavor, it's just been obliterated by the colossal amount of hops in the brew. Full side of medium bodied. Fine carbonation. Thick sheets of lacing on the glass. Good weight with noticeable viscosity in a fairly slick mouthfeel. The finish is long, somewhat dry and packed with persistent hop bitterness that has no intention of shying away anytime soon.
A wonderful, hoppy, amped up brew. Big on the ABV too but you do not taste the alcohol. Not for the hop faint but a delight to hopheads everywhere. I could drink this all day! "Offensively delicious" and highly recommended.
