APPEARANCE – Deep reddish orange with very little head. Very little bubble flow from the bottom of the glass
AROMA – strong on the spices, clove and cardamom.
TASTE – Spicy… But not like hot pepper spice, it is the autumn spices that I taste; again clove is very strong in this field. This is like drinking a non-sweet pumpkin pie. Also there are subtle notes of nutmeg
MOUTHFEEL – A little thick, not too surypy though. Also very carbanatted, funny since there is almost no head to this beer.
CONCLUSION – I think this is a wonderful pumkin ale, as it reminds me of the old harvest back before we sweetend everything and used spices to persearve our food. This is a good spicy pumpkin ale but it will sneak up on being at 8% ABV.
