APPEARANCE – A cherry red color with a ¼ inch head on it that lingers good bit of bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Nice lacing, like a curtain.
AROMA- Strong oak and bourbon aromas. Hit of roast malts
TASTE – Bourbon right off the bat, like carbonated bourbon. Even in the after taste and on my breath I taste the alcohol. Also good bit of earthiness as well.
MOUTHFEEL – smooth, but a little thick. Very light on the carbonation, but it lets you know it is there.
CONCLUSION – Interesting beer, not an everyday beer but very good. I could see sitting down and sipping on this while puffing on my pipe or a good cigar.
