Beer/Brewery - Porter/Southern Tier Brewing Company City/State- Lakewood, New York STYLE – American Porter ABV – 5.2% IBU – 45 DATE – 26 OCT 2011 SERVING TYPE – 12 OZ bottle GLASSWARE – Tall Footed Pilsner A / 4.43 look: 5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5 APPEARANCE – Burgundy in color, nice thick head of foam resting at ½ inch good bubble flow from the bottom. Wonderful lacing. AROMA- Sweet and malty TASTE – Nice Coffee and roasted malts, with a small hint of hoppy MOUTHFEEL – Smooth as a porter should be, with a god bit of carbonation lingering after the sip. CONCLUSION – I like this porter, it is easy to drink and not to heavy. If you are not a coffee drinker than this may not be for you. I however am, so this is right up my alley. I do wish the ABV was a bit more but it is still an enjoyable beer. -JH-
