Rogue Double Imperial IPA

  • Rogue's Double Imperial IPA - comes in a 750 ml black ceramic bottle

Rogue Ales - Newport OR - 9.5% ABV   Cost approx $16

Appearance - poured out like liquid gold. Amber gold and thick, with a nice cream colored head. Smell - has an awesome citrus honey smell, very fresh and appealing Taste - upfront get the honey, orange/grapefruit citrus, light malt, yeast, with some bitter hops in the end. Well balanced Mouthfeel - medium bodied, good carbonation Drinkability - very drinkable even at a higher ABV

This beer was a very good DIPA.  If money was no object, would drink quite frequently

    Give this beer an A-

Mark I got a lot of that in mine but did not get the citrus you found.

oregonbeerlover Hmm, the citrus was the first thing I noticed. We had ours with pizza, so maybe it made it more noticeable. Who knows?
