Alaskan White Wheat Ale
Alaskan Brewing Co. – Juneau, AK
5.30% ABV
The Alaskan White poured out clear and golden with a nice pillowy white head. It smelled of wheat and some spice, not a big nose. It was fairly carbonated, and took awhile to settle down. Once the carbonation settled, it was very creamy tasting, with some subtle spice of nutmeg, pepper and coriander, maybe a slight bit of citrus. It was a very mellow easy-drinker, for those who like a lighter style.
