• 8% ABV  Strong amber-red ale

    Unibroue - Chambly, Quebec

Deep amber-orange colour, clear, with lots of tiny bubbles rising into a dense1/4 layer of creamy beige foam. Really holds that head all the way down! Not much lacing on the glass, though. Aromas of yeast, candied fruit, alcohol & cloves. Creamy smooth & velvety texture. Rich & tongue-coating. Yeasty up front, with some clovey spice followed by caramel malt with a sourish tang and hints of candied fruit. Complex & flavorful brew. Carries its alcohol quite well no noticeable burn. Dangerously drinkable! Like a really big dunkelweizen in many ways.

Dont serve too cold - this is a complex & tasty brew. Went nicely with BBQ chicken, baked beans,  & cucumber salad.
