Abbaye de Leffe, Belgium; 6.6% ABV, on draught at the Cock and Bull Pub, Glendale, OH
The beer is a clear, bright golden-yellow hue with about an eight inch of thick, white foam. Aromas of cloves and lemons dominate; very appetizing. Moderately full body with a smooth, soft texture. Light carbonation bite. Flavours of coriander, clove, light hint of lemon peel and crackery malt. Nice, bitter edge shows up halfway through, leading into some late earthy-spicy hops. Quite refreshing. Fades into a light aftertaste. Head dissipated by the end and left no lace. Refreshing, thirst-quenching beer.
