A new brew from one of my favourite producers of wheat beer! It’s a helles bock, evidenced by the glowing honey-golden hue with full haze as expected for a weizen. The head started out an inch and a half tall and fell to a solid 1/8" layer of dense white foam. Ahhh, the aroma! Fruity and spicy, with banana, clove and vanilla present, and a little apricot. Full, rounded mouthfeel with fine carbonation effervescence. The head lends a creaminess to the texture. Flavours follow the aroma with clove, banana, and faint vanilla, plus I get hints of apricot and sourdough bread, and a mildly sour tang in the finish. Also a light yeasty note. Delisch! Very nicely done! Balanced, smooth, refreshing, but a little more substantial than a standard heffie.
