Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier
, 5.40% ABV
Brauerei Weihenstephan, Freising, Germany
The Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier from Brauerei Weihenstephan in Freising, Germany pours out a deep golden in color with some haze and a nice, dense, white head. On the nose aromas of lemon, orange, wheat, clove and lovely sweetness. In the mouth the sweet fruit comes first, then you get the spice followed by some tartness, although you never lose the sweetness the whole way through. Light side of medium bodied. Nice carbonation. Some lacing. Clean mouthfeel. A good dry finish with the spice showcasing. A classic wheat beer that almost every other wheat beer is compared too.
