  Hofbrau Munich Weizen, 5.4% ABV
  Hofbrauhaus Newport, Newport, KY
  
  Pours a hazy golden-amber hue with a dense, thick white head. Aroma and taste of yeasty banana bread and smoked ham. Slightly sweet with a spicy, clovey hit. Fine, almost champagne-like carbonation. Medium bodied. Tasty & refreshing - excellent example of the style and about as fresh as you can get. Great lacework left on the glass.

  Hocking Hills Hefeweizen, 4.6% ABV
  Barrell House Brewing Co., Cincinnati, OH
  
  Hazy deep golden-amber topped with a pale cream-coloured head. Heavily carbonated. Big aroma of banana, cloves, vanilla; strong Bavarian character. Spritzy-creamy mouthfeel with medium body. Fruity & spicy - flavours follow the aromas with clove & banana focus. Sweetish and gentle, low bittering, no hop flavour, slightly drying finish ends with some residual sweetness and a lingering clovey/allspice note. Some light foam clings to the glass. Delicious!

  Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier, 5.40% ABV Brauerei Weihenstephan, Freising, Germany The Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier from Brauerei Weihenstephan in Freising, Germany pours out a deep golden in color with some haze and a nice, dense, white head. On the nose aromas of lemon, orange, wheat, clove and lovely sweetness. In the mouth the sweet fruit comes first, then you get the spice followed by some tartness, although you never lose the sweetness the whole way through. Light side of medium bodied. Nice carbonation. Some lacing. Clean mouthfeel. A good dry finish with the spice showcasing. A classic wheat beer that almost every other wheat beer is compared too.
  
  
  We had our Weihenstephaner tonight. This beer does not disappoint. It is by far the best Hefeweisen we have tried in this tasting. I'm ready for another.
