The time is now to get them in the ground. Find a spot with lots of sun and a place for the hops to climb. A pole and string work good. once they start, train them up the string. They will spread like crazy once they start so regular pruning is a must. they also like water as they grow very fast and use alot of it. What rhizomes did you get?

chicken wire works great, only real drawback is getting the vines out of the wire at the end of the season. The time to ask for help is during haarvest, but Ive found that the possibility of beer being involed entices people to help. I grow Chinook, Sterling and MT. Hood. By far the best producer is my Chinook. Ive got two vines (chinook) at my place and four at my neighbors. The other varieties, I have two vines each.
