  STYLE –Winter Warmer
  ABV – 6%
  IBU – 60
  DATE – 14 DEC 2011
  SERVING TYPE – 1 Pint 9 oz bottle
  GLASSWARE – Imperial Pint Glass
  C+ / 3.13
  look: 3.5 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 3 | overall: 3.5
  APPEARANCE – The color of honey with lots of big bubbles and a thin snow white head nice lacing
  AROMA- Barley and light floral hops, touch of fruitiness as well
  TASTE – Green Apple and grain with a hint of orange
  MOUTHFEEL – Very light and over carbonated
  CONCLUSION – It is a good brew to try but nothing extra special.

  Ommegang Adoration
  Belgian-style Noel beer, 10% ABV
  Brewery Ommegang, Cooperstown, NY
  
  Had this at a special tapping tonight at Chappy's Tap Room in Moraine, OH. Didn't take detailed notes, but these are my impressions:
  
  Dark brown hue with a beige head that lasted 5-10 minutes. Malty-spicy aroma. Moderately full bodied. Lots of deep, caramelized malt with sorghum molasses, some spices and banana esters. Good Belgian character. Somewhat reminiscent of Trois Pistoles from Unibroue, to my palate, only bigger.
  
  Definitely best when not overly chilled; the beer continued to open up aromatically and reveal more depth of flavor as it warmed. Alcohol became evident, but wasn't hot on the tongue.
  
  Enjoyed this quite a bit, as did a neighbor at the bar.

  The Ommegang sounds really good. I think I saw this at the local store. I'll have to make time and go back for some if they have it.

  Tom I had an Anchor the other day, I just did not do the review lol. I got lazy again. But it is a great winter beer!
