SF: Mission - Zeitgeist - the beer garden is much better in the summer but for tattoo, hippie and hipster watching while sampling some good brews, can't be beat. Have a charcoal-grilled item as well, but be sure to be accomodating to the grillers!

SF: Lower Haight - Toronado - great selection, and grab a sausage at Rosamundos or the middle eastern place next door.

Berkeley - Jupiter. Get yourself a seat next to a firepit outside. Pizza and roast chicken are good.

SF: Haight Ashbury - Magnolia - IMO these guys did everyone a disservice by nixing the psychedelic history and going Gastro Pub, but hey, they do have good beers, including a couple nitros, and their menu, although I liked it better before, still is tasty, if a bit Gastro for my tastes.

This group is designed to share notes about beer, as well as tasting notes and suggestions and get to know beer lovers from all over the globe. Here's the idea: We have themed tasting. In advance, if possible, we will pick a Style of Beer we're going to taste, then we trade tasting notes. The tasting period will be over two weeks so we get an outpouring of related tasting notes, which will spur deep discussions.... Check the Discussion area for what the tasting will be.
