spent his presentation time ‘defining’ craft. Shocktop is his work too.
Here’s mine: craft is like porn, when you see it, you know it.

any press is good press, isnt that what they say?

He's now talking about how the AB InBev guy that worked the Goose Island deal took him out to dinner. He told them he'd rather "Die on payroll" than sell to them. He's also promised not to poach craft beer workers for their Chicago brewery but says he'll make an exception for anyone wanting to leave Goose Island. :)
CraftBeerLove619 commented on Mark's blog entry: LOVE Uinta stuff. have you had their Dubhe or Labrynth yet? awesome. Wish the Fifty and Odell stuff made it out my way more. I hope to have my top 10 list up soon. Thanks for the inspiration.
CraftBeerLove619might be headed to Miami in January, any one know of some good craft places in the area? also, any tips on traveling with beer? plan to bring a few bottles back on the plane with me

As far as bars with a good craft beer selection - The Democratic Republic of Beer.

I have heard it is excellent but have not seen it here yet. Here all the Lips of Faith bottles have the same SKU number and are distributed by Coors so Coors is holding them until the last lips of Faith Series is all gone.

CraftBeerLove619if I see one more post or blurb about Prez Obama being a home brewer, I'm gonna hurl my hops!
CraftBeerLove619apologize if this has been discussed already, but curious about the opinions of the new Sam Adams packaging. anyone seen it yet? I think it looks gaudy on my shelves. (couldnt find 6 pack photo)
Mark
Not that they were hard to read before but the labels seem clearer now.

Haven't seen them yet, but haven't looked. It appears that they are visually slapping you in the face with the style. Almost like you're too stupid or lazy to look for the style. It sort of reminds me of the old Kroger generic "BEER" cans.
CraftBeerLove619 commented on Mark's blog entry: had a bottle at home, had it a couple times on tap, and have one resting comfortably..... easily one of the best beers I have had this, or any year!

CraftBeerLove619amazing beer. one of the most complex drinks I've ever had. a blend of 8 different beers, none less than 8% abv. if you can get a bottle (or two) of this, I highly suggest it.
BrewWitchThat blending thing this is something they do wel. I'll have to look for that one. They do a special anniversary ale for Trader Joe's each year that's similar. I bought two, and look forward to cracking the other one open next summer. Next up, Parabola!

just had one of my rye pale ales, didn't turn out too badly. I won't be able to brew for a living, but at least it will keep me busy. Has anyone here tried growing hops and had any success?
