We definitely have a bastion of beery goodness out here in the CO. Over 100 breweries and counting. We've had 3 open here in Southern Colorado in the last year, and a handful up in Northern Colorado as well. The economy does not seem to be affecting micro beers.
But hey, you Cali folk (I lived in SoCal for 5 years and another 22 in NoCal, but have been out here in CO for 6 years now) have some great breweries as well!
New Belgium Brewing has a pretty big footprint when it comes to distribution. Given time I hope some of the other up and coming bigger breweries (Left Hand, Breckenridge will be able to make it out there. I love New Belgium beer, but they aren't even close to the only game in town. ;) less
Geez, that's what I get for not having all of my daily requirement of caffeine before Emailing. ;)

oregonbeerlover: I wish I have tried some of those Colorado breweries. I really have no excuse, I go to Co Springs all the time (my son lives there). I need to get drinking!

ElitheMadBeerMan → Munichbeerboy: Mike... where do you write about beer? I do as well. Check my profile for the 411 on where I write. Zivjeli! ("to life" in Croatian)
About Me
I am a freelance writer specializing in all things craft beer and video games... and whatever else strikes my fancy. I currently write for several beer related websites (and soon to be a few prestigious beer mags). If anyone "Must Love Beer".. it's me.
My philosophy on beer goes something like this:
Beer is the elixir of the gods. It's a beverage made of hops, barley and a pantheon of other delicacies that when looked at properly - through beer goggles perhaps - has changed the course of human history. When not imbibing great Colorado craft brews I'm writing about them somewhere on the Interweb.
Life is too short to drink crappy beer.
Save the Earth... it's the only planet with beer!
-- Where I write and ramble about beer: -- I am the Director of Content @ Beer Tap TV (http://beertaptv.com) an internet TV station dedicated to all things beer.
I am the Southern Colorado Beer Examiner (http://www.examiner.com/x-383-Southern-Colorado-Beer-Examiner), focusing on the craft beer scene in Southern Colorado.
The Beer Bucket List on MOJO135 (http://135.mojohd.com/tagged/confessions-of-beer-geek) is a list of beer bars from around the world that every true beer geek must visit before they kick the bucket.
I write a personal beer blog called Confessions of a Beer Geek (http://www.confessionsofabeergeek.com) which was recently listed #6 on the Culinary School Guide's Top 100 Beer/Wine blogs.
The ALEuminati (http://www.aleuminati.com) is a not-so-secret social networking site for beer geeks.

Favorite Beers
Far too many to list. Plus, I don't have ONE favorite beer. I do however have a favorite style, and that'd be wheats/hefes.
