The aroma was of a light grain malt and a funky horse blanket Belgian yeast with notes of green apple, banana, citrus (lemon), clove and honey. The taste was a tad acidic and a little sweet with hints of banana, honey and apple at first, becoming a bit funky with a strong yeast presence and a mildly bitter spicy citrus finish. The flavor lasted an average duration following the swallow with a nice fruity spicy taste left behind to linger on for a little bit longer. Mouthfeel was just past light in body with a slightly dry texture and a medium carbonation. Overall this was a brew that was put together very well, allowing for...    less

  • About Me Originally from NJ and FL, when I was younger I traveled alot into the New England states. That is where I got my love for beers. Now live in NC and and since they raised the ABV level the Craft Beer Industry is booming. Love all types of beer except Domestic Brews (Re: Bud, Coors, Miller. ect...). But I have to say Micro-brews are most definitely my favorite.

2000 BREWERIES, 2001, 2002, 2003 . . .   A running joke during the Craft Brewers Conference last month in San Diego was that every time somebody stood up two more nanobreweries began operations. • Lagunitas Brewing Co. "A Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale"

    Posted December 3, 2011

I have been tasting a few really good IPA's lately, which is rather surprising being I was never one that really liked IPA's. But one thing about BEER is that your taste buds are constantly changing and one can acquire tastes for beer, which in the past never would have been consumed. You only have ...
