I'm not sure Memphis has a whole lot to offer in the micro brewery scene, i wish it did (i should do some research)! I've always wanted to visit, all my friends say Portland is way awesome (very strong art scene) but now that i know it's the land of great beer, i am super interested!

cbreville: Memphis! Though this isn't beer related...I created a drink at B.B. Kings in Memphis. It has been 8-years since I've been there, so haven't been back to check to see if it's still there. Fun town.

  • Mark Congrats South Carolina! The State House just approved the so called "Pint Bill" that will allow breweries to sell 48 ounces of beer to a person every 24 hours. No more tiny samples if you're wanting a pint - as long as the Governor signs the bill.

This group is designed to share notes about beer, as well as tasting notes and suggestions and get to know beer lovers from all over the globe. Here's the idea: We have themed tasting. In advance, if possible, we will pick a Style of Beer we're going to taste, then we trade tasting notes. The tasting period will be over two weeks so we get an outpouring of related tasting notes, which will spur deep discussions.... Check the Discussion area for what the tasting will be.
