oregonbeerlover: I wrote a blog about Captn Sigs...it was pretty good. I also had that Sam Adams Choc Bock awhile back. Liked it as well...will have it again during the Virtual Beer Tasting for Valentines Day...what the heck!
MikeLovesBeer → ilovebeer: It is definitely old. I even busted my ass in the caves under the brewery where they use to store kegs to keep them cold. I was okay. And the sample of their porter afterward helped as well. =)

oregonbeerlover: Yes Rogue Ales are great, and they started out here in the Rogue Valley, but their production facility is now over at the coast in Newport...gives us a good excuse to go to the beach and hang out for sand, surf, and suds!

MikeLovesBeer → TheBeerWench: There is a beer store down around my way that has a great selection of beer. They also have a beer club, do tastings and beer and food pairings. I just went to one on Saturday and it was great.

This group is designed to share notes about beer, as well as tasting notes and suggestions and get to know beer lovers from all over the globe. Here's the idea: We have themed tasting. In advance, if possible, we will pick a Style of Beer we're going to taste, then we trade tasting notes. The tasting period will be over two weeks so we get an outpouring of related tasting notes, which will spur deep discussions.... Check the Discussion area for what the tasting will be.
