I've had a few of their brews, that Ken sent to me, but not this one. I'll have to try and find some as I really liked their other brews.

The brewery says they also have a rye barrel aged Cavatica. I see it on their website for $20 per four-pack. They won't ship to MN though.
fretwalkerAh, memories! My first $25 four-pack, I gave myself 3 kinds of hell for blowing that kind of coin on 48 ounces of beer... I was such a newbie! Then, I opened one, poured and sipped, and instantly forgave myself my profligacy!

Rich, do yourself a favor next year, grab a 4-pack. Drink one because, well, you simply have to. Stash the other 3 in the cellar and pull one out every few months... believe it or not, it does get better with age! ( Up to a year, anyway; my self-discipline kinda hit the wall at 12 months!) less

I've been building a cellar and trying to throw some good beers away for a while. I'd love to try this beer in a few years. It was so smooth now. I can only imagine what it'd taste like in two, three, four years!

RichsWorldBeerTourI need to get four of each of these! I posted it to Facebook and told my family that Christmas is coming! Maybe Santa will be good to me this year!

We were close in review. I think I found it thinner than you did and I couldn't get the flavor of the yeast. Definitely worth trying again, when it comes out again.

Me Want!!! I've loved every Central Waters brew I've managed to lay hands on. Begging my dispatcher for a trip to/through WI would be poor form, but I'm tempted!
RichsWorldBeerTourCheck out my review of the Ola Dubh Ale - Special 18 Reserve. An incredible beer, aged in barrels from 18-year old scotch. I almost rated this a ten!
Rich reviews the Ola Dubh Ale - Special 18 Reserve from the Harviestoun Brewery in Alva, Scotland. This ale is aged in barrels that once contained the Highland Park 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

By law, bourbon whisky must be aged in virgin charred oak barrels; they cannot be reused for bourbon. The vast majority of used bourbon barrels are exported to Scotland, where they are used for aging Scots whisky

Congrats South Carolina! The State House just approved the so called "Pint Bill" that will allow breweries to sell 48 ounces of beer to a person every 24 hours. No more tiny samples if you're wanting a pint - as long as the Governor signs the bill.

just had one of my rye pale ales, didn't turn out too badly. I won't be able to brew for a living, but at least it will keep me busy. Has anyone here tried growing hops and had any success?
