anbrew7 → Virtual Craft Beer Tasting Club: Name: Clipper City Loose Cannon IPA Nice amber color, with strong aroma of hops. A smooth, bitter and flowery taste. Very nice IPA. Not one for too many Clipper City brews, but this is a quality brew.

anbrew7 → Oregon Beer Lovers: I am an East Coast guy, so I don't get much of the Oregon brews. However, you guys rock when it comes to hops. I am jealous!

anbrew7 → Virtual Craft Beer Tasting Club: Since today is the last day for stouts, last night I tried Young's Double Chocolate Stout. I've never had a beer with so much tones of chocolate. It was quite delicious. Onward to the IPA's.

anbrew7 → Home Brew Group: I have used mint extract for a Chocolate Mint Stout once. But I am sure I not the only one. I know there are brewers out there who love the idea of making a "Girl Scout Stout."

anbrew7 → MD beer: I've been in Baltimore for 5 years now, and I must say, the Mid-Atlantic region is one of the best beer drinking regions in the nation. We have a lot going on!

anbrew7 → Home Brew Group: Has anyone tried a Saison? Curious to know type of malts and hops used. Looking for all grain ideas. Cheers!

anbrew7It was a bold move, I know. Just trying something different. In my opinion, its not that bad. I actually enjoyed it. I just imagined drinking a thin mint. Mmmm....thin mints.

oregonbeerlover: Chocolate Mint Stout just sounds wrong. And I love mint, but in beer?
About Me
I've been brewing beer for the past five years. My brother and I created Homebrew School, an online course on teaching people the basics of beer brewing. I also co-founded a beer club called A.L.E. (All Livers Evolve) with some friends. We choose a theme each month, and discuss the beer and take notes. I love beer.

Good craftbeer in Marland, DC & VA area. From Flying Dog to Dogfish and everything in between. Share thoughts, bottle shops and opinions with people and beers in your area.
This group is designed to share notes about beer, as well as tasting notes and suggestions and get to know beer lovers from all over the globe. Here's the idea: We have themed tasting. In advance, if possible, we will pick a Style of Beer we're going to taste, then we trade tasting notes. The tasting period will be over two weeks so we get an outpouring of related tasting notes, which will spur deep discussions.... Check the Discussion area for what the tasting will be.
