Just picked up a Duclaw Repent. Has anyone ever had one? It's 14%! I'm not a big fan of belgians but this one is described as a dark ale. Plus, I love Duclaw.

Pretty much. Out of 20 taps they only excluded one of them. It's addicting.

jbladenI picked up a few beers I'm excited about. The first one is the Avery Samael's Barleywine from their Demon Series. I had the Mephostophales and it was simply amazing.
fretwalkerI recently picked up a couple each of batches 3 (2007), 5 (09), 6 (10) and 7 (11), intending a vertical tasting. The 2011 was so cloyingly sweet, it was practically undrinkable, just raw sugar and booze. 2009 was considerably mellower, but felt like it still had a ways to go. I gave up on the vertical, and plan to drink an '07 now, and give the rest another few years in the cellar. I'll let you know how the '07 turned out.

That would be great. Some time in July is my goal but August is more reasonable. The selection may limited at first but I'm hoping to have 300-400 choices within six months.

Growler stations are the main reason that I go to one particular store, it has 46 taps, that rotate depending on availability, but at least half of them are local brews (within 15 miles). also helps to taste a little before getting a 6'er.

just had one of my rye pale ales, didn't turn out too badly. I won't be able to brew for a living, but at least it will keep me busy. Has anyone here tried growing hops and had any success?
