katjust wanted to send a little reminder to not forget where you stash beers. last friday i woke up to water dripping through my downstairs bathroom light fixture...turned out to be a hot water hose under the sink exploded over night. after the water restora... morejust wanted to send a little reminder to not forget where you stash beers. last friday i woke up to water dripping through my downstairs bathroom light fixture...turned out to be a hot water hose under the sink exploded over night. after the water restoration peeps left, there was a dehumidifier, 3 huge fans, and a plastic make-shift door to my kitchen to seal it all up. the next day i decided to grab my thermometer i had sitting in a drawer...118 degrees. then i remembered my quickly-stashed beers from a recent trip to santa barbara's telegraph brewing. doesn't look, bad, but look closely at the expanded/lop-sided cork...and remember the 118 degrees :( less

Have you tried it yet? The 118F probably killed the beer if it was in it for a long time.

oh yeah, I'm sure it's toast...were just keeping it for memories now. luckily it's at our local bottleshop so we can purchase it again. next time our beers go straight to the cellar!
