We are sometimes asked what is the significance of the number on the bottom of Avon steins. Avon steins are limited editions, and were numbered sequentially (in other words each stein has a unique number). Avon does not publish the total number made of any stein (to our knowledge at least), and we've found no indication that a higher or lower number is of any significance.
Avon ceramic steins were produced from 1976 - 2005.
