ilovebeer: Hey..... Try to find Hair of the Dog Brewing. It is a great goup of beers, strong and thick and a little high 10% to 13% so it is not grandma beer, more like the strange Uncle Vern type of beer.

la Verte by Brasserie Distillerie Du Mont Blanc-- If you ever get the chance to taste this one, DO! I can't explain it any better than skidz did on beeradvocate.com, so I'm not going to try. Also, real Guinness, and by real I mean the stuff that you get in Ireland. This pasteurized crap in the US is a horrible attempt at replicating it.

Snow stopped. Sun came out. Turned into a nice but chilly day. Drinking an Odell's Red Ale to finish off the day.
This group is designed to share notes about beer, as well as tasting notes and suggestions and get to know beer lovers from all over the globe. Here's the idea: We have themed tasting. In advance, if possible, we will pick a Style of Beer we're going to taste, then we trade tasting notes. The tasting period will be over two weeks so we get an outpouring of related tasting notes, which will spur deep discussions.... Check the Discussion area for what the tasting will be.
