oregonbeerlover: I have tried one Allagash beer, can't remember what it was. My knowledge of east coast beers is about as limited as the selection we can get here in the NW. I do like Brewery Ommegang though..and have wanted to try some of Brooklyn Brewery's offerings.

Thanks for the compliments. I was looking at your list of favorites. We have a lot of the same tastes it would seem. I'm a big fan of Deschutes as well. I like pretty much everything I've had from them. Jubalale is one of my all time favorites. Stone is great. Ever try anything from Allagash in Maine? I use to live in Maine, and Allagash is just a great Belgien style brewer. Then them out some time if you can get them up there.  less

  • Mark Congrats South Carolina! The State House just approved the so called "Pint Bill" that will allow breweries to sell 48 ounces of beer to a person every 24 hours. No more tiny samples if you're wanting a pint - as long as the Governor signs the bill.

  • Virtual Craft Beer Tasting Club
    484 members
This group is designed to share notes about beer, as well as tasting notes and suggestions and get to know beer lovers from all over the globe. Here's the idea: We have themed tasting. In advance, if possible, we will pick a Style of Beer we're going to taste, then we trade tasting notes. The tasting period will be over two weeks so we get an outpouring of related tasting notes, which will spur deep discussions.... Check the Discussion area for what the tasting will be.
